Paying a huge amount of money for a car I do not want. This just adds insult to injury. Everyone I have spoken to says ‘there is no money in this market…’ Amazing, when the top end WAV’s I have been looking at cost between £33k to £55k on a base car cost of £17k to £32k! Take it or leave it. Everyone has you over a barrel. There is no negotiation. I have to pay extra for everything…even the goddamn wheelchair restraints…in a wheelchair accessible vehicle, shouldn’t this be a given? Oh no, that’s another £2k, with fitting, because I have a Balder who have their own restraint system which has, of course, been safety tested. Will I be ‘safe’ without it? My risk. Yeah, right! From order, good news, the delivery time is quoted as ‘down to’ 18-22 weeks. Cue choked laughter on my part. It will probably be back up to 26 weeks if the blokes at WAV-Evo read this! Lucky me… hi, guys! And then, Kia have already announced they will stop making the Sedona from 2011 because there is no demand for MPV’S now we’re all going green. So, my ludicrously expensive dull car will be a redundant model almost as soon as I get it. Fantastic. Trying to be happy with my choice Mercedes to Kia Sedona, with all of the above baggage – would that make you happy? No, me neither. I can only hope that functionally the WAV achieves my objectives – more independence and easier on EaZyD’s back – because in every other way, making this decision has sucked…big time! I know I sound grumpy…that’s because I am. I would like to ask though, whether any of you would want to spend your money on the vehicles you sell if you were in my position? |
