I am loving my new bath. It is huge, deep, double-ended with air bubbles at the bottom and jets all around the sides and both ends. It is a hydrotherapy bath and I love it. As for so many neurological conditions, I am in constant pain. Sometimes, I cannot move at all. Luckily for me, the level of pain fluctuates depending upon weather, relapses, drugs, movement and who I want to see - just kidding about the last one! I found that my pain responds well to heat and I love the water. Hydrotherapy always seemed like something I would respond well to but have you tried to find a hydrotherapy pool? I did but the sheer effort of trying to get there, the physical difficulties of getting in/out, getting back, co-ordinating it with their opening hours, people to accompany me, getting this dome between toilet breaks - WAY betond my level of patience or interest! Obvious solution: get one at home. OK, not a pool, my house is not that big... a bath! And, it worked. My bath is bliss. It does physio type massage to neck and back plus bubbles and whirls under and around. It has lights. It is the only place that I am ever able to feel so little pain that it is almost as if there is none. I love it. How much? Priceless. Sourcing: my bath came from C P Hart. Expect it to cost a lot! |
