			Robert Glasper - QEH
An inspirational pianist accompanied by drummer Chris Dave, Derrick Hodge on bass, and a (somewhat variable) guest vocalist, Bilal. Totally rockin’ the rhythms and ridin’ the riffs wid de drum'n'bass …cool vibes!

			Tord Gustavsen Ensemble – QEH
Chilled, understated, esoteric, cerebral jazz and, in its own way, really cool.  Tord Gustavsen was another great pianist playing with a technically brilliant ensemble. The spirituality was a little lost on me but the simple layering of the music was much appreciated.

			Marcus Miller - The Barbican
Tutu, revisited: Marcus Miller bass complemented by two young dudes - Christian Scott, on trumpet, and saxophonist, Alex Han - both rippin’ the funky bass riddims’. Not one for the jazz purist but if you like your jazz with funk – I do - they took the roof off with a groovin’ set that hit you in the gut and seared down your nerve endings with power, passion and technique – just awesome music making.
