I love going to the Sadlers Wells. It is one of the best designed venues in London for wheelchair users who love modern dance.
It is bright, open, has disabled toilets, great spaces for wheelchairs plus companions and accessible drink and food facilities. You can even book parking if you have a blue badge, although space is limited and first come, first served.
They have a hugely varied programme of dance, dance theatre and even opera occasionally. Sadly, a recent visit to see The American Ballet Theatre was not a success for me. My comments:
‘Absolutely dull. Do not go. It would be more interesting to poke your own eyes out with a hot needle! The highlight of the evening was a VERY short male dancer disguised as a pink rose with a very large dong. Will it stay in his thong or won’t it? Pink dong wearing thong exits stage left.’
This is a great venue, do go.
